Cult-ore Art designs, crafts and installs unique metal commissions in homes, gardens and businesses across the UK. Yorkshire-based artist, Eddie Roberts creates abstract, symbolic, ‘one of a kind’ centre pieces that bring spaces to life. I created a logo and brand look & feel to give this small business a luxury positioning.

One of the objectives was to create a distinctive and ownable brand icon that could be used as part of the logo, or on its own as an avatar for digital comms. The design takes inspiration from the form of Eddie’s sculptures – the balance of curves with clean, straight lines and the interplay of positive and negative space. These characteristics are applied to the minimalistic letterforms of the logo to create a simple and abstract monogram with a three-dimensional quality.

Look & feel

Look & feel

To position the Cult-Ore Art brand as a high-end, luxury designer, the brand comms needed to feel like a showcase of the artist’s work. Generous use of white space throughout the book gives the imagery room to breath. Much the same as a curated exhibition, the art direction is paired back, allowing the artwork itself to do the talking.
